Taifa St. Dominic parish to host 2023 Accra diaconate ordination

St. Dominic Catholic Church, Taifa-North has been confirmed as the venue for this year’s diaconate ordination.

The Archdiocesan ordination is expected to take place on Thursday, January 19 at 10am.

This year’s ordination will see fifteen young men become deacons awaiting priestly ordination.

Speaking in an interview with Catholic Trends, Parish Priest of the St. Dominic Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Joseph Arthur said all is set for the ordination.

In the Catholic Church, the diaconate is the first of three ranks in ordained ministry. Deacons preparing for the priesthood are transitional deacons. Those not planning to be ordained priests are permanent deacons.
