This year, the Archdiocesan Youth Office of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra will launch a number of Skill Development Initiatives aimed at improving the skill set of the archdiocese’s youths,
The first of these initiatives is a practical training in Music Reading and Sound Management scheduled for the first quarter of the year and expected to take place on March 11, 2023.
A letter signed by the chairperson of the Archdiocesan Youth Council, Gerald Ekow Woode, and the Chaplain of the Accra Catholic Youth, Rev. Fr. Alphonse Bulloro, invited applications and encouraged the youths to enrol, take advantage of the training opportunity, and fully participate in the course.
The Skills Development Initiative, according to the Youth Office, is a year-long plan, with various types of training being rolled out in each quarter of 2023.
As stated by the office, the initiative will help equip the minds of the youth with skill sets that will make them the major driving force for technological innovation and economic development, build a sense of self-belief among vulnerable unemployed youth through sustainable employment opportunities, and provide skill-oriented short-term training for youths to assist them in developing their technical and professional skills.
The Youth Office has also called individuals and parishes to register for the training. [Click on the link here to register: ]
