Rev. Fr. Isaac Nti Asamoah, Priest in charge of Music in the Konongo-Mampong Diocese and Parish priest of St. Peter’s Parish, Nsuta, has made his mark in the academic world by earning a first-class degree in Music Education from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).
Father Nti Asamoah successfully completed a BA Music Education degree on April 1, 2023.
He tells Catholic Trends that the decision to study music is born out of his passion for the music ministry.
Fr. Isaac Nti Asamoah, affectionately called Fr. Ike, is originally from Nkwantakese in the Ashanti Region, where he started his primary education at St. Andrew Primary School in Juaso.
He later attended St. Benedict and St. Mary’s Anglican Ejura before completing his Junior Secondary School education at Ejura St. Anthony’s R/C JSS in 2004.
After completing his JSS education, Fr. Ike continued to St. Joseph Minor Seminary, where he did a year of post-secondary school formation in 2008.
He then went on to study spirituality, philosophy, and theology at the St. Gregory the Great Provincial Major Seminary from 2009 to 2017, after which he was ordained into the Catholic priesthood for the Konongo-Mampong Diocese.
Fr. Ike worked as the Assistant Priest at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Mamponteng for a year before enrolling at UEW in 2018 to study Music Education. He has a great passion for preaching the gospel through every means possible, and his love for music has also been evident throughout his ministry.
His achievement is a testament to his hard work, determination, and perseverance in pursuing his academic goals while also fulfilling his responsibilities as a Catholic priest.
Fr. Ike’s love for music and commitment to the youth and Catholic Students have endeared him to many in the Konongo-Mampong Diocese and beyond. Recently, a video of him preaching in the market went viral on social media, showcasing his dedication and passion for preaching the gospel.
