Mr. Richmond Edem Kpotosu, a devoted Catholic and accomplished Human Resource Manager of Ghana Education Service in the Volta Region, has been elected as the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for Ho Central Constituency.
He will replace Hon. Benjamin Komla Kpodo, a three-term Parliamentarian, on the ticket of the NDC in the 2024 General Elections.
In a tightly contested election, Mr. Kpotosu secured 619 of the total votes, defeating his closest contender, Dr. Robert Doh, who secured 576 votes. This will make him the fourth Parliamentary candidate to represent the people of Ho Central.
Mr. Kpotosu is a member of the Knights of Marshal Council 20, a Catholic-friendly society, and worships at St. Anthony Parish Sokode Gborgame. He has previously served as chairman of the Ho Diocesan Youth Council and Parish Pastoral Chairperson for Holy Spirit Catholic Church Ho SSNIT FLAT.
He holds an MPhil in Employment and Labour Law from the University of Technology Cambodia, an LLB from Mount Crest University College, an Executive MBA from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and a Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Ghana Legon.
