A Holy Mass was held at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Gbi-Atabu on June 22 as part of activities marking the 50th episcopal anniversary of the Emeritus Bishop of the Ho Diocese, Most Rev. Francis Kofi Anani Lodonu.
A video on social media showed a strong and lively Bishop Lodonu receiving congratulatory greetings from parishioners after Mass.
The song in the background of the video translated from Ewe to English said ” This our Bishop doesn’t get tired”. Many who have seen the Emeritus Bishop during this period of celebration have expressed surprise over how passionate the 86-year-old is about work for God.
Catholic Trends earlier reported that the Catholic Diocese of Ho has unveiled a bust in honour of Most. Rev. Francis Anani Kofi Lodonu, the first Bishop of the Diocese.
The unveiling ceremony was held on June 20 on the occasion of the 50th Episcopal Anniversary of the Bishop at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church Gbi-Atabu his home Parish.
The unveiling ceremony is part of activities marking the homecoming and golden jubilee episcopal ordination Thanksgiving Mass attended by Priests, Religious and Faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Ho and around Volta and Oti Regions.
