The leadership of the Society of the Divine Word, (SVD) and the Missionaries of Africa have released assignments and appointments of their newly ordained priests for the year 2023.
The seven new priests were ordained at the OLA Cathedral on July 15 by Most Rev. Philip Naameh, Metropolitan Archbishop of Tamale.

Freinademetz Parish at Ekye Amanfrom in the Donkorkrom Vicariate.
2. Fr. Anthony Lawer Doku-Akpey, SVD: Assigned to Philippines South Province, temporary
appointment to Holy Trinity Rectorate in Kyeremankoma-Kintampo in the Techiman
Diocese
3. Fr. Joshua Munterim, SVD : Assigned to the U.S. South Province; temporary appointment to
Holy Cross parish, Sambuli in the Yendi Diocese.
4. Fr. Peter Kummor, SVD : Assigned to Spain; temporary appointment to Arnold Janssen
Spirituality Centre (AJSC), Bortianor Hills in Accra.
5. Fr. Godwin Mensah, SVD : Assigned to Brazil South Province, temporary appointment to St.
Charles Lwanga Parish at Abeka in Accra.
6. Fr. Vitalis Naameh, SVD : Assigned to Ghana-Liberia Province and appointed to Sts. Peter and
Paul parish in New Aplaku in Accra.
7. Fr. James Wormenor, SVD : Assigned to Ghana-Liberia Province and appointed to Mother of
God parish in Adeemmra in the Dorkorkrom Vicariate.
8. Fr. Salaam Peter Kojo Pakinyennu, M.Afr : Assigned to the Archdiocese of Durban, South Africa.
