His Lordship, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto and Founder of the Kukah Centre, has been named the recipient of this year’s prestigious Mundo Negro Fraternity Award. The exciting news was conveyed to him in a letter signed by Fr. Enrique Bayo Mata, a dedicated priest of the Comboni Missionaries and the Director of Mundo Negro, a prominent Spanish Magazine based in Madrid.
The letter from Fr. Bayo Mata conveyed the profound significance of this honor. It highlighted the Magazine’s annual tradition of organizing the “Encounter with Africa,” during which they bestow the Mundo Negro Fraternity Award upon an outstanding African personality or institution.
