Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Ho, Very Rev. Fr. Walter Mawusi Agbetoh, has issued an urgent appeal for humanitarian support to aid flood victims.
The disaster caused by the recent spillage of water from the Akosombo Dam, has left countless individuals and families in desperate need of assistance.
Fr. Agbetoh in a communique issued on October 20, highlighted the pressing needs of the flood victims, which include shelter, food, clean drinking water, clothing, medical attention, and financial support for those who have lost their businesses and livelihoods.
He stressed the Christian obligation to provide aid in such trying times and called upon both clergy and lay faithful of the Diocese of Ho to rally together and support the humanitarian efforts.
All monetary donations are to be directed to the GCB Bank – Ho Main Branch, with the account details as “Catholic Diocese of Ho, Acc. No. 5011130000177.”
Additionally, mobile money donations can be sent to the Merchant Code 482950, Ho Diocese Finance Office, at Mobile No. 0598958875, with the reference “Flood Victims.”
Non-monetary donations in kind can be forwarded to Very Rev. Fr. Isaac Benuyenah at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Ho.
