Nigeria: Fr. Thaddeus Tarhembe of the Diocese of Wukari kidnapped 

Very Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Tarhembe serves as the Parish Priest of St. Ann’s Parish, located in Sarkin Kudu, a community nestled within the Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The news of his abduction was carried in a statement, dated October 29, 2023, and signed by Rev. Fr. John Jerome Lakei, the communications director of the Catholic Diocese of Wukari.

The statement conveys the heartfelt concern of the Bishop, Most Rev. Mark Nzukwein and calls for support in the form of prayers for the safe return of Very Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Tarhembe.

“We solicit for prayers from all people of good will for his safety and quick release by his abductors,” the statement reads, emphasizing the importance of collective spiritual intervention during this trying time.
