Bishop of Zimbabwe’s Mutare Diocese, Bishop Paul Horan, O. Carm, has announced the death of Rt. Rev. Bishop Alexio C. Muchabaiwa, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese.
According to the January 8 statement, the late Bishop peacefully transitioned to eternal life in the afternoon of January 8 at the Murambi Gardens Clinic, Mutare.
“It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the death of the Rt. Rev. Bishop Alexio C. Muchabaiwa, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Mutare. He passed on peacefully to eternal life this afternoon at Murambi Gardens Clinic, Mutare. We pray for his eternal rest, and consolation for his family and many friends at this difficult time,” the statement said.
Funeral arrangements to honor the life and legacy of Bishop Emeritus Alexio C. Muchabaiwa is expected to be communicated later.
