The Accra Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) has held a recollection for crusaders at the Catholic Youth Formation Center in Lashibi.
The January 6 spiritual event under the theme “Helping children to seek Christ: from discovery to discipleship; We Wish to See Jesus” (John 21:12), set the tone for to prayer, reflection, and communion.
The overarching theme, “Rejoicing in hope, in the spirit of wishing to see Jesus” (Romans 12:9-12), added a profound layer to the spiritual journey embarked upon by the participants.
Devoted crusaders partook in prayer through the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, accompanied by praises and worship, creating an atmosphere of profound reverence and devotion.
The solemnity of the occasion was augmented by rosary prayers, a thematic talk, group discussions, and a concluding Holy Mass.
The esteemed presence of Rev. Fr. Alphonse Bulloro, Archdiocesan CYO Chaplain, his board of executives, and all deanery and unit officers within the Diocese added a sense of spiritual guidance and authority to the proceedings.
Master Michael Owusu Amponsah, a seminarian of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, shared reflections on the recollection theme.
His insights emphasized the significance of living in love, discerning between good and evil, rejoicing in hope, enduring afflictions with resilience, and persevering in prayer. He highlighted avenues to witness Christ, including immersion in the Word of God, active participation in the Eucharist, and engagement in church community activities.
