The Holy Family Catholic Church in the Keta-Akatsi Diocese of Ghana has rounded up activities marking its 50th Anniversary celebration at Woe.
The climax of the anniversary brought together faithful, religious and well wishers among others.
The anniversary was celebrated on the theme “50 years of God’s unflinching favor, let rise and build the house of the Lord for divine enlargement.
Speaking at the climax, Hon. Richard Kwame Sefe, MP for Anlo and guest of honour lamented the excessive use of hard drugs among the youth.
He added that as MP, he will not accept the practice of LGBTQ+ and was happy that Ghanaian bishops are strongly against.
For his part, Mr. Godsway Mensah Dordor, the guest speaker was happy to be part of the anniversary because he was 10 years when the church started with the school and today he was here to witnesses the golden jubilee celebration of the church.
Torgbui Gbordzor lll, paramount chief of Woe advised that everyone should be part of the new project of the church and he will make sure save part of the money he use to buy credit for the project until it completes.
Rev. Fr. Victor Ashiagbor, the parish priest of the church was grateful and thank God for successful celebration and call on order members who where not present at the climax of the anniversary to also contribute their share for the project.
