The Legacy of Hope Projects team in charge of the Children’s Hospital under construction in the Archdiocese of Accra, Ghana is expected at the Good Shepherd Parish, Tema Community 2, tomorrow, January 14, as part of fund raising tour of parishes in Accra.
The move is part of efforts to mobilize funds for an ambitious paediatric and childhood cancer hospital estimated at 2 million dollars.
Background
On January 16, 2022, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, Archbishop of Accra launched the “Legacy of Hope” projects in the Archdiocese with the subsequent sod-cutting of the Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, January 18 at Atomic-Kwabenya, which is first of the Legacy of Hope Projects .
The Archbishop however announced on April 2, the relocation of site for a children’s hospital project by the Archdiocese with the new site for the project as Adjen Kotoku.
The project is one of many, under the auspices of the Archdioceses of Accra under the umbrella “The Legacy of Hope (LoH) Project”.
Phase one of the project which will comprise of a 100-bed capacity medical block and the ground floor of the maternity unit, is estimated at 2 million dollars.
