In a proactive move towards enhancing community safety, the Donkorkrom Fire Station, in collaboration with the Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Divine World Missionaries and the Sister Servants of the Holy Spirit from the Apostolic Vicariate of Donkorkrom, Ghana, has organized a three-day training and commissioning event for Fire Volunteers.
The comprehensive training program took place within the premises of the Roman Catholic Church at Donkorkrom, drawing participation from enthusiastic volunteers eager to contribute to the safety and well-being of their community.
The orientation sessions encompassed a series of lectures and practical drills aimed at equipping the volunteers with essential firefighting skills and emergency response techniques. The training aimed not only to educate the volunteers but also to foster a sense of unity and collaboration among them.
The highlight of the event was the official inauguration, led by the Eastern Regional Fire Officer, ACFO I Jennifer Naa Yarley Quaye.
During the inauguration ceremony, ACFO I Jennifer Naa Yarley Quaye commended the collaborative effort between the Donkorkrom Fire Station and the Roman Catholic Church, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in firefighting and emergency response.
