Best known for his work with the Kukah Centre, Bishop Matthew Kukah was honored with the prestigious Mundo Negro Fraternity Award in Spain.
The award, presented in Spain’s capital, Madrid, recognizes individuals and institutions making significant contributions to Africa and the world.
The director of the Spanish Magazine Mundo Negro, Enrique Bayo Mata, informed the Kukah Centre about the honor.
This award is part of a yearly event where outstanding African personalities or institutions are acknowledged for their efforts towards the betterment of the African continent and world.
Atta Barkindo, executive director of the Kukah Centre, expressed gratitude for the award, stating, “We at the Kukah Centre are humbled by this show of appreciation for the contributions of the Founder of our Centre.”
Barkindo further stressed the commitment to continue promoting the values represented by Bishop Kukah, in order to make the world a better place through the activities of the Kukah Centre.
