Pregnant Ukrainian refugee mothers have become easy targets for abortion propaganda, with a clandestine website offering abortion pills to vulnerable women, says Human Life International (HLI).
A statement shared by the international Catholic pro-life organisation indicates that when an HLI missionary named Genia discovered the abortion pill website, she immediately sprang into action.
Posing as a Ukrainian refugee in distress, she contacted the website’s phone number under the guise of seeking help for a pregnant relative.
What she encountered was a chilling transactional exchange, with the website offering to send abortion pills for a fee of 70 euros, bypassing any medical consultation or legal procedures.
Undeterred, Genia pushed back, reminding the woman on the phone that abortion is illegal in Poland. Despite this, the woman callously brushed aside legal concerns and safety considerations, emphasizing profit over the well-being of vulnerable women.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, HLI missionaries consulted lawyers and promptly alerted Polish authorities. Their swift action resulted in the removal of the nefarious website, but they remain vigilant, knowing the persistence of anti-life groups in spreading their agenda.
To counteract such insidious tactics, HLI missionaries are sharing brochures exposing the abortion industry’s disregard for women’s health and the law.
These brochures are being distributed in churches and doctors’ offices to alert women to the dangers of illegal abortion practices and empower them to make informed choices.
