The East Legon Convocation of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) will later today, June 12, celebrate Rev. Fr. Andrew Campbell, SVD in recognition of his extraordinary dedication and profound impact on society through his service to the less privileged in Ghana.
A notice issued by ICGG indicates that the move is expedient because, since he arrived in Ghana in 1971, the Irish missionary priest has been an epitome of the essence of selfless service and compassion while uplifting the marginalised and vulnerable segments of society, including cured lepers, children and the elderly among others.
Attendees of the event slated for 6:30pm today will have the opportunity to delve into the life journey of Fr. Campbell, exploring the highs, lows, and intricacies of his fifty years of service in Ghana.
Following the discussion, Fr. Campbell will be presented with a special award from the East Legon Convocation.
