The Catholic Men Association (CAMA) of the St Augustine Parish, Hohoe in the Ho Diocese of the Volta region, has been officially outdoored on Fathers Day.
The Association aims at bringing all men in the Parish together and foster unity among them towards contributing their widow’s mite to the development of the Parish and the Diocese as a whole.
Reverend Father Paschal Afesi, St Augustine Parish Priest, in a homily urged parishioners to always put God first in all they do while they do their best and God would do the rest.
He said it takes time to become a good person as well as a good Christian hence parishioners must avoid shortcuts because “certain things do not have shortcuts and certain things cannot be achieved instantly”.
Rev Fr Afesi urged parishioners to start whatever they wanted to achieve in their own small ways and end on a big note while they always have hope in God.
He congratulated members of the Association and fathers in general and tasked them to live up to expectations.
Mr Joseph Quarranttey, Chairman of the Association noted that there was a lot of work to be done by the Association in terms of lending a helping hand to individuals, groups as well as the Parish as a whole.
He appealed to members to be committed to their call as men for Christ, the Church and the world at large.
The executives of the Association are Mr Joseph Quarranttey, Chairman, Mr David Adja-Kwaku, Vice Chairman, Mr Ishmael Paul Adzimah, Secretary, Mr Anthony Godsway Tsra, Financial Secretary and Treasurer, Mr Francis Ahiabor, Organizer and Mr Philip Agyare, Assistant Secretary.
