Outgoing Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, H.E Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński has announced the launch of his book titled “Paradise Country Ghana,” an account of his experience working in Ghana.
According to the Vatican diplomat, the move is to tell the story of his mission in Ghana. Speaking at a sendoff Mass held for him on July 2 at the Christ the King Parish in Accra, H.E Jagodziński described his stay in Ghana as a pleasant one.
The book is expected to be launched on July 11 at the Christ the King Parish Hall at 5pm. Reflecting on his 4-year stay in Ghana, the Nuncio said, “You welcomed me in your homes and I met you in formal and informal ways. I have in my heart very beautiful memories. My experience in Ghana, I wrote in a book in Polish but the title, I put it Paradise Country Ghana.”
Archbishop Jagodziński is expected to assume his new role as Apostolic Nuncio to South Africa and Lesotho following his appointment by the Holy Father on Apiril 16, 2024.
His last major assignment in Ghana happened on March 21 in the Konongo-Mampong Diocese of Ghana when he announced the appointment of now Bishop-Elect John Opoku-Agyemang as the Bishop of the Diocese of Konongo-Mampong.
