The Vatican Press Office has announced the appointment of Sr. Inés Paulo Albino, A.S.C., from Bula, Guinea-Bissau, as the new Secretary General of the Pontifical Missionary Childhood.
Sr. Inés Paulo Albino, born on April 25, 1969, in Bula, Guinea-Bissau, has been a prominent figure in the Church’s mission efforts. She made her religious vows with the Congregation of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ on September 14, 1997.
With a robust academic background, including a licentiate in biblical theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Sr. Inés has significantly contributed to various fields of pastoral work.
Previously, she served as the pastoral head of the Santa Maria de Mattias parish in Ingoré and directed the National Directorate of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Guinea-Bissau. Her experience spans evangelization, catechesis, teaching, and youth apostolate, reflecting her deep commitment to nurturing faith and guiding young people.
Since 2022, Sr. Inés has held the roles of counsellor and bursar for the Italian Region of her religious institute.
