Sister Dr. Ernestina Serwaa Yeboah, a member of the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus (HHCJ), has made history by becoming the first Ghanaian medical doctor within her congregation.
This remarkable achievement coincides with the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the congregation’s foundress in Africa and 65 years of HHCJ’s presence in Ghana.
Sr. Dr. Yeboah, who is also marking her 15th year as a religious sister, expressed her profound gratitude on social media, stating, “Indeed, God’s time is always the best.” She dedicated her success to the HHCJ family and the Catholic Church in Ghana.
In her service, Sister Yeboah has worked at St. Martin’s Hospital in Agroyesum, where her commitment to healthcare has become central to her vocation.
