The Ghana Province of the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus is preparing to celebrate the significant milestones of eight sisters at St. Gabriel Co-Cathedral Church on November 9, 2024.
This special event will honor Sister Eugenia Atta Paídoo’s Golden Jubilee in religious life and six sisters celebrating their Silver Jubilees, along with two sisters who will profess their final vows. This signifies their lifelong commitment to their faith and service within the community.
Sister Eugenia Atta Paídoo will commemorate 50 years of dedicated service in religious life, having entered the novitiate in the early 1970s. Her journey has been characterized by faith, commitment to her vocation, and active involvement in community service, inspiring countless individuals within and beyond the Church.
The Silver Jubilee celebrants, each with 25 years of service, include Sister Rosemary Tameah, Sister Bridget Mwingyine, Sister Eugenia Mansa Mensah, Sister Lucy Yeltule Dery, Sister Agnes Ackah-Mensah, and Sister Margaret Mary Yamoah.
These sisters began their formation in the early 1990s and have since dedicated their lives to various ministries, promoting education, health, and social justice in their communities. Their commitment has significantly contributed to the mission of the HHCJ congregation, which focuses on love, compassion, and service.
Additionally, Sister Felicia Fokawati and Sister Naomi Frimpomaa will profess their final vows during the ceremony. This profound commitment represents their readiness to fully embrace their calling, dedicating their lives to God and the service of others within the framework of the HHCJ community.
