The National Union of Ghana Catholic Diocesan Priests’ Association (NUGCDPA) has engaged in a productive dialogue with His Excellency Julien Kaboré, the newly appointed Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana.
The October 17 audience at the Nunciature in Accra, led by Very Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Kuusah, President of the Union, emphasized the importance of unity and mutual support among the clergy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Fr. Kuusah welcomed the Apostolic Nuncio warmly, pledging the Union’s solidarity and support for his mission in Ghana.
He also shared details about NUGCDPA’s initiatives, particularly the Vehicle Project aimed at enhancing the pastoral outreach of the Donkorkrom Vicariate, which seeks to address transportation challenges faced by priests in remote areas.
During the meeting, Archbishop Kaboré highlighted the necessity for priests to care for one another, underscoring that such solidarity is essential for them to serve effectively as true shepherds to the People of God. “It is crucial that we live in communion and not in isolation,” he remarked, calling for a collaborative spirit among diocesan priests to strengthen their pastoral work.
