Bishop of Ghana’s Catholic Diocese of Goaso, Most Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene has ordained six men into the Holy Priesthood for the Diocese
The ordination ceremony which took place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral witnessed a vibrant gathering of faithful from across the diocese, who came to witness the consecration of these men to the priesthood.
The six newly ordained priests are Rev. Fr. Bernard Sarpong, Rev. Fr. Eric Maali, Rev. Fr. Ransford Marfo, Rev. Fr. Frank Owusu Ahiamajor, Rev. Fr. Samuel Pious Agana Awenongya, and Rev. Fr. Lawrence Adu-Gyamfi.
Bishop Atuahene in his homily, emphasized the solemn responsibilities that come with the priesthood. He urged the new priests to remain devoted to their faith, to serve their communities with humility, and to uphold the teachings of the Church in every aspect of their lives.
The Eucharistic celebration, which was the heart of the ordination, was also attended by religious leaders from both within and outside the diocese, highlighting the unity and shared faith of the Church in the region.
On behalf of his fellow ordinands, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Adu-Gyamfi expressed heartfelt thanks to Bishop Atuahene, the clergy, and the entire diocese for their unwavering support throughout their formation.
In a moving address, he promised that they would strive to be faithful Christians and diligent co-workers in the Lord’s vineyard.
