The Catholic Diocese of Techiman is set to begin 2025 with renewed vigor as Most Rev. Dominic Yeboah Nyarko announces his first appointments of the year.
Four priests have been entrusted with new roles to deepen the Diocese’s spiritual mission and enhance its pastoral care.
The appointments, effective Sunday, January 12, 2025, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, were detailed in a memo signed by the Chancellor, Very Rev. Fr. James Annor-Ohene. The statement called on the faithful to “offer their maximum cooperation, support, and goodwill” to the newly appointed priests.
The appointments include:
- Rev. Fr. Benjamin Benneh, appointed Spiritual Director at St. Francis Minor Seminary & SHS, Buoyem.
- Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Gymadu, appointed Parish Priest of Star of the Sea Parish, Kintampo Magazine.
- Rev. Fr. Samuel Dombomo, appointed Acting Parish Priest of St. Mary Quasi Parish, Kajaji.
- Rev. Fr. Duk Vincent Kolog, appointed Assisting Priest at St. Joseph Parish, Kintampo.
In addition, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Kwadwo Adu has begun his studies for a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), effective January 4, 2025.
“These new roles are set to inspire growth and strengthen our faith community,” the memo stated, emphasizing the Bishop’s vision for spiritual development and service. The Chancellor also extended heartfelt New Year greetings to the Diocese, saying, “We wish everyone a happy, healthy, and hearty 2025, full of joy, peace, and grace.”
As the Diocese embarks on this new chapter, prayers are being offered for the appointees to succeed in their missions and for God’s grace to guide the Diocese in the year ahead.
