The Catholic Diocese of Goaso has announced the passing of Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Gyansa-Tabi, one of its revered priests, who died on Friday, January 17, 2025.
Ordained into the priesthood on July 31, 1976, Fr. Gyansa-Tabi served the Church and the faithful with dedication for nearly five decades. His ministry impacted countless lives, reflecting his deep commitment to his vocation and the teachings of the Church.
In a statement signed by Monsignor Matthew Addai, the Vicar General of the Diocese, the Church expressed deep sorrow at the loss while reaffirming its hope in the resurrection.
“Let us unite in prayer for the peaceful repose of his soul. May the Lord grant him eternal rest, and may perpetual light shine upon him,” the statement read.
The Diocese noted that details of the funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
Fr. Gyansa-Tabi’s passing is a significant loss to the Goaso Diocese and the Catholic community in Ghana. As the faithful mourn his death, they also celebrate his enduring legacy of faith, service, and love.
