The St. James Catholic Church in Osu has donated a tabernacle worth 14,800 cedis to St. Mugagga Catholic Church in Kuntunse.
The presentation, which took place on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, the First Sunday of Lent, followed an appeal made by Rev. Fr. Isaac Emmanuel Maunger, the Priest In-Charge of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Sapeiman, and St. Mugagga Catholic Church, Kuntunse.
The donation was in line with the vision of Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, CSSp, who, in December 2024, urged well-established parishes to support, adopt, or assist churches in more peripheral areas within the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra.
Representing St. James Parish at the event were Mr. Kelvin Ntiamoah-Sarpong, Vice Chair of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC); Mr. Emile Owusu, Secretary of the PPC; and Mr. Bartels Haizel, PPC Organizer.
