The Conference of Major Superiors of Religious – Ghana (CMSR-Gh) is set to host a major regional gathering of Catholic religious leaders as the Regional Conference of Major Superiors of West Africa (RECOMSWA) and the Africa Religious Union, Ghana (ARUG) convene for a joint conference in the Ashanti Region in March.
The four-day event, scheduled for 12–15 March 2026 at the Christian Village, will bring together religious superiors and leaders from across West Africa under the theme, “Consecrated Life for Transformation.”

Under the leadership of its President, Sr. Dr. Lucy Hometowu, SMMC, CMSR-Gh will welcome delegates for what is expected to be a significant moment for religious life in the region.
The conference aims to provide a platform for reflection on the role of consecrated life in transforming societies and strengthening the Church’s mission.
Participants are expected to deliberate on the challenges and opportunities facing consecrated life, while deepening cooperation and shared mission across borders.
The conference will conclude on 15 March 2026 after four days of discussions focused on renewal, mission and transformation within the Church and society.
