The Holy Father has accepted the resignation of Archbishop Vincent Coulibaly from the pastoral care of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Conakry, Guinea.
Archbishop Coulibaly, who has shepherded the Archdiocese for over two decades, stepped down from his role in accordance with the provisions of Canon Law. His resignation marks the conclusion of a long period of pastoral leadership in the Guinean capital.
He is succeeded by Archbishop François Sylla, who until now has served as Coadjutor Archbishop of the same Metropolitan See. As coadjutor, Archbishop Sylla had the right of succession and assisted in the governance of the Archdiocese, ensuring continuity in pastoral and administrative responsibilities.
With this transition, the Archdiocese enters a new phase of leadership while maintaining stability and continuity in its mission and service to the faithful in Conakry and beyond.
