The Catholic Church in Ghana has officially announced a second National Catholic Education Forum, scheduled to take place from 10-15 March 2025 in the Diocese of Koforidua.

The event, initially set for September 2024, was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances but is now confirmed to proceed in March 2025.

Most Reverend Joseph Afrifah-Agyekum, the Bishop of Koforidua Diocese and the Episcopal Chairperson for the Catholic Education Unit, addressed the public on behalf of the Catholic Church and the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference. He expressed the Church’s commitment to fostering quality education in Ghana and highlighted the forum’s focus on shaping an inclusive and resilient society.

The upcoming forum, titled Catholic Education for Integral Development: Shaping a Resilient and Inclusive Ghana, will bring together educational leaders, policymakers, and key figures in the sector.

The event will be a platform for discussing the vital role of Catholic education in promoting holistic development, ensuring inclusivity, and strengthening resilience within the country’s educational framework.
