SACBC Appoints Fr Tobias Mcunu as New Secretary General

The Catholic Diocese of Keta-Akatsi has announced the death of Rev. Fr. Benjamin Elorm Kofi Nyamadi-Combey, a Fidei Donum priest serving in the Archdiocese of Kingston, Jamaica.

According to a statement issued by the Bishop of Keta-Akatsi, Most Rev. Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, Fr. Nyamadi-Combey died on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at age 42.

Fr. Nyamadi-Combey was ordained to the Catholic priesthood on October 10, 2015, at St. Michael Co-Cathedral in Keta, and subsequently served as a Fidei Donum priest in Jamaica.

In the statement addressed to priests, religious sisters and the faithful of the Diocese, Bishop Kumordji expressed the Church’s grief over the passing of the priest and called on the faithful to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul.

“Please offer prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul,” the Bishop said. Date of Fr. Nyamadi-Combey’s burial is expected to be communicated later.
