The Catholic Organisation for Social and Religious Advancement (COSRA), Accra Archdiocese, has announced its partnership with the Youth Office of the Archdiocese for the upcoming Elpida Nea Concert, describing the initiative as a key opportunity to advance both the Archbishop’s vision for the Legacy of Hope Project and COSRA’s own mission objectives.
The concert is scheduled for Sunday, 21st June 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Adenta. The event is expected to bring together youth groups, families and parishioners for an evening of worship, fellowship and social impact, while also supporting the adoption and care of a ward at the Legacy of Hope Paediatric Hospital.
Speaking to Catholic Trends, the Accra Archdiocesan President of COSRA, Bro. Prosper Narteh-Agbeyome, explained the rationale behind the partnership and its broader pastoral significance.
“We are partnering for the Concert because we believe in the Archbishop’s vision for the Legacy of Hope Project and because Elpida Nea presents an opportunity to advance all six aims and objectives of COSRA,” he said.
He noted that the concert aligns strongly with COSRA’s mandate of forming and mentoring members and young people within the Church, while deepening their Christian identity and commitment to service.
“Thus mentorship of members and the youth; inculcate in members the fear of God; promoting social and religious advancement; stimulate and direct in every way possible members ambition along Christian way of life; support programmes for the development of members and the youth of the Church and finally to encourage the spirit of voluntary service to the Church,” Bro. Prosper stated.
He further noted that the collaboration with the Youth Office reflects a shared commitment to holistic youth formation, spiritual growth and active participation in the Church’s mission, particularly in works of charity and social outreach.
