The newly appointed chaplain for the Catholic Organisation for Social and Religious Advancement (COSRA) in the Accra Archdiocese, Very Rev. Fr. John Benyah Mensah, has expressed readiness to support and guide members of the group, describing his appointment as a pastoral opportunity to serve the adult youth of the Church.
Speaking in an interview with Catholic Trends, he said he was grateful to the Archbishop for the trust placed in him and outlined his approach to his new role as one rooted in collaboration, openness and service.
“I’m the newly elected chaplain for COSRANS in Accra Archdiocese and I’m very happy that the Archbishop has asked me to take care of these adult youth. My message to them is that I have come to help them,” he said.
Fr. Benyah Mensah stressed the importance of cooperation between chaplain and members, adding that shared ideas and open communication would be central to his ministry.
“They should cooperate with me so that whatever ideas that I have, I can share with them. If they have any programmes, anything that they want to pass through me, my doors are open 24-7 to help them out,” he said.
The Catholic Organisation for Social and Religious Advancement, commonly known as COSRA, describes itself as a platform that integrates social development with spiritual growth, bringing together youthful energy and adult responsibility.
According to the organisation, this approach is intended to educate, inform, empower and transform its members into active contributors to both Church and society.
